Archbishop Oscar Romero High School has been designed to provide all students with opportunities to learn and to challenge themselves to grow. It has a very large gymnasium with an attached fitness centre. There are a range of competitive team sports as well as recreational physical activities. The school offers a full package of fine arts opportunities in music, art, and drama. Archbishop Oscar Romero High School also offers food studies and fashion design as well as other CTS courses that include industrial arts (including communications technology and fabrication). The school also offers French, Spanish, and Tagalog language courses. The science department has both a chemistry and biology laboratory as well as a physics classroom. There are a number of areas in the school that are designed to allow students to work in teams as well as areas to allow students to gather and socialize during breaks. Staff at the school believes that students require a strong core curriculum and appealing option courses, as well as a range of clubs and teams that encourage students to get involved in the school. Finally, there is a student council that organizes a number of events throughout the school year.
